LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT (WAṢIYYA)

Bismillāhi'r-Raḥmāni'r-Raḥīm

I, [FULL NAME], residing at [address], born [date of birth],
being of sound mind and mature judgement, do hereby declare this to be my last will
and testament, revoking all previous wills.

1. DECLARATION OF FAITH
I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, alone
without partner, and I bear witness that Muḥammad ﷺ is His servant and Messenger.
I die upon Islam and upon the way of the Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jamāʿah.

2. FUNERAL & BURIAL
Ghusl and kafan per Sunnah, ṣalāt al-janāzah, and burial in the nearest Muslim cemetery without delay, avoiding excessive spending.

3. DEBTS
All my lawful debts and outstanding religious obligations (unpaid zakāh, kaffārah,
fidya for missed fasts, mahr, etc.) shall be settled from my estate before any
   distribution:
(List debts here or leave to executor to ascertain.)

4. EXECUTOR (WAṢĪ)
I appoint [executor name] as the executor of this will.
Should they be unable or unwilling to act, I appoint [alternate executor]
   as alternate executor.

5. GUARDIAN OF MINOR CHILDREN
   (Not applicable.)

6. BEQUESTS (LIMITED TO ONE-THIRD OF NET ESTATE)
Subject to the Sharīʿa limit that bequests may not exceed one-third of my net
estate, and that no bequest may be made in favour of a legal heir except with
the unanimous consent of the other heirs after my death, I direct the following:
   (None specified.)

7. DISTRIBUTION OF RESIDUE
The residue of my estate, after payment of debts, funeral expenses, and the
above bequests, shall be distributed among my legal heirs strictly according to
the fixed shares (farāʾiḍ) prescribed in the Qurʾān (Sūrat al-Nisāʾ, verses
11–12 and 176) and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, as determined by a
qualified scholar at the time of distribution.

8. GENERAL
If any part of this will is invalid under the civil law of the jurisdiction in
which my estate is administered, the remaining provisions shall continue in
effect. My executor is directed to seek any additional orders required from the
civil courts to give effect to the Sharīʿa distribution above.

The estate residue (after debts, funeral, and valid bequests) is divided among your legal heirs per the fixed shares of Qurʾān 4:11–12 and 4:176 — do not attempt to redirect it in this will. Use the inheritance calculator for the farāʾiḍ portion.
